Will Feneley learnt to ski when he was 6 years old on a family holiday. On returning, he joined Norfolk Snowsports Club, as a Junior Club member, quickly making his way from Kadets through to Eagles. During that time he also started ski racing on the dry slope and was soon part of the Norfolk race team. He has competed for them in the Eastern Region (ERSA) Summer League since 2006, winning numerous medals. He has also competed at Club National and Grand Prix level, now the GBR series, always doing very well.
While still maintaining an active part in Norfolk Snowsports Club, he went on to train with the British Ski Academy. Over the last 6 seasons he has trained and alpine raced (including: slalom, GS, and super G) from December until April each year in Europe. Again achieving many podium positions. In the 2013-
He combined his love of ski racing, with a love of freestyle skiing, having his first taste during Junior Club, and then attending the freestyle Grom camps, which really inspired him. He started competing by attending Norfolk Snowsports Club’s Farmers Jam, again winning prizes.
His freestyle training on dry slope and in snowdomes was complemented by attending the British Freeski camps out in Saas Fee, in the summer of each year, for a few weeks. This is where he learnt to go over the big snow kickers and train in the freestyle snow parks. He was then encouraged to enter the British Freestyle Championships (the Brits), successfully achieving podiums. He competed in Slopestyle, Big Air, Rail Jam, Half Pipe and Skiercross. He also had some weeks in the spring of 2013 training in Austria with the Scottish freeski team. In 2013-
